Matt McCall Takes Another Win @ Bristol
The UARA event was on whale of a show. Matt McCall and Jamey Caudill begin the night on the front row followed by a host of very talented competition. After many cautions McCall will lead the field once again and will dominate as the remainder of the field challenges one another and fight for position. McCall will get a challenge on lap 69 when Jake Crum slides by him to take the lead. But after a hard contact in turn 4 for Jake Crumb, McCall will retake the lead and not let it get away from him again. The race will end on lap 99 as another victim makes contact with the front stretch wall, this will bring the field to a green, white, checker finish with McCall in the front.
Congratulations to Matt McCall and his team! |

Heather’s Amazing Custom Car
Seat
Heather Colburn is a 9 year old beautiful, happy little girl who happens to have been diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. Heather, along with mom, Melissa Faircloth and husband, Todd live in Statesville, NC. As parents we all know the safety of a car seat, well in Heather’s case it is also a necessity. Todd and Melissa have struggled with a car seat for Melissa for a while; the problem was Melissa had grown too tall for a standard car seat. So, Todd being a race fan and part time racer thought maybe they could use a race seat. While researching race seats on the internet he came across The Joie of Seating. Todd and Melissa came to Randy with hopes that maybe with his past experience and knowledge of safety he could help them with a car seat for Melissa. As always with Randy, his first priority was safety. After conferring with Trevor Ashline at Safety Solutions in reference to seat belts, not only to hold Melissa in the seat but to hold the seat in the car, he decided to build Melissa a new car seat. As you can see from the pictures above Melissa is very happy with her custom new seat from The Joie of Seating. |

Glenski Starts 2009 Season Off With A Win!
Orange County Speedway, Ryan did it again, in a car that he never sat in before or practiced. Ryan won his 192nd career win in Curt Andrews Pro Challenge Car at Orange County Speedway this past Saturday. In practice, Ryan felt very comfortable with the car. The set-up was to "come in" more towards the end of the race...and did it ever! Ryan was on the outside pole. It wasn’t until the very last caution that Ryan got a shot at the fast #71 Benjamin. Ryan running high and Benjamin running low, Ryan beat him only by a car length at the line. Congratulations to Ryan and the #34 Curt Andrews team. |

Cook takes Victory in January 2009 Ice Bowl After dealing with mud in the pits, a bad tire choice for the time trials, and a side-by-side battle for the lead with Hall of Famer Ronnie Johnson, Cook thought he might get a chance to relax. But, that was not to be because on lap 37, Cook had his hands full with the 2006 Ice Bowl winner Billy Mayo. Cook said “ I really didn’t know once he got out in front if I could get back by him. But on the restart, he went to the bottom and left us the top, and that’s where we needed to be anyway, so it worked out. ”Congratulations to Ray Cook and his team! |
